El Guacamayo Limited Edition Tee – Scarlet Macaw Graphic Shirt

Bring the vibrant energy of the Amazon Rainforest to your wardrobe with this limited edition, sustainable women's tee, featuring Malu, the rescued scarlet macaw (Ara macao). This psychedelic design was inspired by photos taken during our founder’s time in the jungle and honors the macaw as a messenger bird, symbol of spirit, vibrancy, and ancestral connection.

In real life, Malu was rescued by the Ríos-Javá family after his mother was poached—a sad reality of the exotic animal trade in the Amazon. Despite his freedom, Malu stays close to the family, interacting with children and other animals, embodying trust, protection, and presence. Behind the perched macaw, a mandala of feathers, sacred Mapacho (Nicotiana rustica) leaves, and sun-ray patterns radiates life and energy.

Each of the 6 vibrant colors in this water-based screen print was digitally captured from Malu’s feathers, creating a lifelike, rainbow-hued tribute. Scarlet macaws (Guacamayo in Spanish) are native to Central and South America and, as a symbolic medicine, connect us to the life-giving energy of the sun, inspiring joy, vitality, and higher awareness.

These garments are designed to fit femme bodies, those looking for shorter sleeves, wider based and shorter lengths.

Jersey cotton is prized for its combination of durability and comfort, making it a versatile choice for everyday wear. Its knit construction creates a soft, smooth texture that feels gentle on the skin while offering natural stretch for ease of movement. Despite its lightweight feel, jersey cotton holds up well to frequent washing and wear, maintaining its shape and softness over time.

1x1 rib knit neck provides a comfortable neckline with stretch and recovery.

Shoulder to shoulder taping reinforces the shoulder seams for durability and a cleaner finish.

Side seams: This garment is constructed with separate front and back panels sewn together along the sides, which provides a more tailored fit.

Bought a King of The Heart muscle tank, it is super soft and I love that my purchase is helping build a Maloca for the Matses in the Amazon.

What I love most  is how soft the fabric feels and how deep and rich the color is. I’ve already had a few people compliment it!
